Ashley & Charlie

Le Marais is probably my favorite area of Paris, and interestingly it's the least used for photoshoots, which is a pity! For this winter shoot for my dear friend Ashley, which is the expert baker at BAKERBYNATURE, she let me pick the spot for a very special lovestory for her and her back-then boyfriend and now fiancé, Charlie. Of course I talked her into exploring the little streets and hidden gems of Le Marais. We met up by the Saint Paul metro stop and went to the iconic Place des Vosges. A coffee at Cafe Hugo is a must when there! Next I took then through a passage leading to Hotel de Sully - another hidden away jewel. It's never crowded, so even during the summer peak of touristic season it's a safe bet that this location will be empty and lovely to shoot at.

From there we walked (at danced at) Rue des Rosiers - the cute street filled with restaurants, little boutiques and best falafel in town. Just around the corner from it is the last stop I wanted to show the guys - the National Archives. Archives Nationales is free for entrance, it's so beautiful and has a lovely garden perfect for Paris Photographer sessions :) This photoshoot ended up being more of a walk through Paris with good friends, joking, telling our life stories, I even tried to talk them into moving to Paris even just for a bit. I didn't manage that, but a couple of months later they did reach out to share the news that Charlie has proposed and now I'm looking forward to photographing their wedding in 2019! I couldn't be more excited for them. Hope I managed to capture how cool and perfect for each other they are... And how Le Marais is just so dreamy and romantic!
