Johanna & Martin Wedding in Vienna

Did you know that I used to live Vienna, Austria? Well, that's still a home for me, a place where I met Federico, and a place where I still fly to to capture beautiful weddings! This autumn wedding is very special to me - because I've captured it in September, while being 9 weeks pregnant with Dante, without a second shooter and having a severe morning sickness... Still, it rocked :)

Johanna and Martin are from Vienna, but for me flying in from Paris it was a "destination wedding". We started the day with capturing getting ready photos and some beautiful details like save the date cards and invitations by Katrin Beste. The wedding florals were done by Lorenz Pridt. The bride's dress is from the wedding attire store Atelier Unikat. The groom's suit is tailored to order at Teller

After getting ready and a ride through Vienna, while Hannah had a mandatory salami semmel (that's like a MUST sandwich to try if you are ever in Austria), we arrived at the reception location at Parkschlössl Hotel, very conveniently located right across the street from the ceremony church Herz Jesu Kirche. After a beautiful ceremony the guys arrived back at the hotel in a very fun rikscha ride. To treat their guests to a glass of celebratory champagne Hannah and Martin cut their wedding cake during the cocktail reception, which is called Agape. Next we did group portraits with all of their guests in front the decorations that the pair have made themselves! Right about then the golden hour started and it was time for couple portrait session. Again, I'm so happy with the wedding venue - the park is so full of beautiful backgrounds for a lovely wedding photoshoot.

We finished the day with dinner in a beautifully decorated terrace and finished it off with dancing of course! Johanna and Martin do ballroom dancing, so they stunned their guests with some traditional Viennese Waltz! There were games and smiles and shots of schnapps all around. This day made me miss Vienna so much, that I hope that someday soon I will come back to capture another beautiful wedding here!
