Last year, our family of five decided to escape the hustle and bustle of Paris and experience the enchanting Le Grand Noël at Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte. This stunning baroque masterpiece is just a short drive from the city and an absolute must-see during the holiday season.

Activities and Food
There are lots of things to see and explore indoors and outdoors. There is a petting zoo for the little ones. Each room of the Chateau is lusciously decorated with Christmas designs. This year the theme is fairy tale books, so expect each room to take you into a childhood dreamy world of your favorite stories.
Outside there are many food stalls serving snacks, something more substantial and also muled wine or champagne. There are treasure hunts set up in the garden too. It was so cold the day we visited we mostly preferred the indoor, but stayed until the end for the light show warming up making marshmallows on the fires set up outside the chateau.
Magical Light Show
One of the highlights was the evening light show, where stunning projections danced across the château's walls, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere. The vibrant colors and animations brought the historic building to life and left us in awe.
Making Memories
As twilight descended, we took family photos in front of the illuminated château, creating memories we’ll treasure forever. If you're visiting Paris this Christmas, I can't recommend Le Grand Noël enough. It's a unique blend of culture, festivity, and family fun that will surely make your holiday season magical!
Happy holidays!
