The wedding of Alicia and Gianni was the highlight of my 2019 wedding season! I'm not just Paris photographer, I also do destination weddings around the world. This time I got to fly over to Florence, Tuscany to join these two and their beautiful, loud and loving families and friends for a small destination wedding gorgeously organised and coordinated by Super Tuscan Wedding Planners at Borgo Petrognano. Hair and make up for Alicia was created by Armilla Beauty Agency. The ceremony was conducted in English and Italian by Luca from Wedding Celebrants Italy - we all enjoyed his personal touch and humour. Catering was run by Roland's Social and Business Catering. DJ, live music and lights was provided by Wedding Music and Lights. The flower decor, the amazing photo space flower arch and the bouquet of the bride were created by Oana of ToscOanaFlowers.
I can't recommend this location and wedding planner enough - on the day of the ceremony everything ran so smoothly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere created with the decor was just like a dream come true. The ceremony itself took place outside in the garden under the archway of leaves - this provides the guests with the much needed shade from the Tuscan sun and opens up into a gorgeous view of the countryside in the back. The cocktail was held in the adjacent garden - that food was so good and might I add beautiful! For the dinner part we moved to the upper level into the courtyard of the borgo. The open tent set up there features a stunning chandelier - it all came together in an atmosphere of a sumptuous family gathering. With all the laughs and the toasts capturing those moments felt like I'm inside an old italian movie. The icing on the cake, was that the guys got to finish their "wedding cake" dessert themselves and the caterers turned it into an entertainment for the guests to see the dessert assembled right before them. We finished the night dancing and the DJ did a great job to keep both American and Italian sides of the family happy with the music.
Now I'm dreaming of a next trip to Italy already either for work or just for vacation. Looking through these photos preparing this blog post I realised how much I miss the culture and the language of Italy. I used to live there for 2,5 years, so I have an advantage of speaking the language. Here's fingers crossed that my 2020 wedding season will have another italian celebration!
